perhaps because we are supposed to rally around words and phrases like: there was no one left to speak out, i would like these to be free, i wish for political sanctuary. perhaps because we are supposed to understand concepts like truth, justice, honor, compassion, and liberty.

maybe when they ask we should let them, but who are we to ask? senators and congressman are too busy, psychologists and therapists just label you as a test subject, educators tell you to be silent, and religious groups deem you as a heretic, and family members tell you to deal.
Deal what? there are no cards on the table, the illegal drug trade will only get me into more trouble.
what is one supposed to do? performing terrorist actions don't help us to rise above and only worsens the conditions for our relatives who are either too busy to do something or too afraid.
what are we supposed to do? protesting only causes more social diaspora and social blacklisting. suicide only yields the worst probable case. perhaps we should cheat.
From this start point there is no hope, only targeting to the point of lifeless insanity, without knowing who to go to we are just targets.

i just wasn't sure if the song was supposed to sound like a scream or if that is your natural context, if its the former i don't particularly like that style but i do have to give you props on being able to hold it. if it is your natural context, well i am not sure what to say so that it won't be misunderstood... i am fairly sure that your pitch is really good but the sharp vs. flat seems lost perhaps some diaphragm exercises would help you to improve.
