True Story

Everyday, the kitatsu would go and take care of the rice patty. Everyday, they would return home [come in (jinlai)] tired. Everyday, they would take joy because they had a rice field that could produce two koku's.
Until one day, a blind man followed them to the rice field. There he stood confused because he could not smell the field's silt.
For many years, the blind man questioned. For many years, the blind man followed them. For many years, the blind felt the way.
Soon, He noticed that the village was not open, to the sky. Soon, the blind man found that there was no patty. Soon, the blind man learned to eat.
The blind man found the bars to the cells. The blind man found the keys to the wards [guarded cells]. The blind man found no rice field. The blind man found only the unseen.
When he returned to the field, the blind man found only a bowl and a tunnel.
When he crawled through the tunnel, the blind man found only an altar.
When he searched the area, the blind man found many villages and many rice fields.
When he questioned, the people called him a goblin, a tengu, a demon, a buddha.
That day the blind man proved there was no rice field, that day the kitatsu proved there was no bowl, that day the people proved that they could not see, that day the way proved that there are things beyond our senses. The way works in [a manner beyond us].

{<Note: kitatsu is translated as (blood dragon) || (energy dragon) || (to sever spirit). In a sense the kitatsu could be known as murderers; in this story they would be accepting the sacrificial seed to remain complacent, also the blind man could be thought of as a false convict- possibly through other's bearing false witness>}
